One of the biggest problems with ranking in the search engines is relevance.
If the content on your website or blog is not seen as relevant by the search engines then your competitors will out rank you. This simple, yet little understood, fact is the single element than can cause you to rank higher… Or not.
2 years ago I wrote an entire book on the subject. So far this year I have received tons of questions from prospects asking me if this book is still relevant even though it is over 2 years old. I have been telling them that the book is even more relevant today than when it was written.
The bottom line is that themeing your web presence is crucial to your over all search engine visibility and ranking success. We have been stating this for years and we have a staggering number of real world case studies to prove this is so.
Two other factors that effect your search engine rankings (and overall visibility) are inbound links and social buzz. It is now common knowledge that the more inbound links you attain from reputable and relevant sources, the higher you will rank.
It is not common knowledge that you can out rank your competition with far fewer inbound links if you take the time to discover the keywords that surround the overall theme of your website and use them naturally in your content.
In other words, if you take the time to include keywords within your content that are relevant to your main theme then you won’t have to try as hard to out rank your competitors because it will take much less effort. We have proven this time and time again. (See our case studies in the menu bar above)
If you couple themed keywords (in your content) together with social buzz building then you can achieve top visibility and rankings within a relatively short period of time. Many of our clients see positive improvement in their visibility and rankings within a few hours.

Stemming from our understanding that higher rankings are more easily achieved through the inclusion of themed, relevant keywords within content we have developed a powerful new service… Themed keyword research and development…
Our staff will do the research so you don’t have to… All you need to provide is the keyword or keywords that your website or blog is themed around and we’ll produce a list of all the keywords and phrases that you should be including in your content to be considered relevant by the search engines.
Social Media Science staff Member Richard Dennis has published a good article (blog traffic techniques) on how to do this research yourself if you are not yet ready to outsource this task.
It is established that it is important to research the theme of your web presence in order to determine relevant words and phrases which commonly appear in other documents that Google (and the other engines) consider relevant.
By including these words within your content you will find that it is far easier to rank in optimal positions for your target phrases. If you couple this with social buzz building through content syndication then the results are even more powerful. You can learn all about content syndication by following the lessons under the ‘Content Syndication‘ tab in the menu bar above.
