crowdI have to admit that I love my job.  When I start playing around with new ideas and even old practices in optimization and social media I feel like I’m going for a good long run.  Success in social media, of any kind, feels like getting that blast of air through your lungs and the adrenaline coursing through you.  It never gets old for me.

When you exercise in your daily life, you take the time to stretch and ensure that your body is in the right shape to garner the most benefit from the exercises you’re about to perform.  When I start going over certain SEO exercises, I like to make sure that things will done in the right order and performed properly to have similar, sustainable long-term benefits.

Spindex Dishes Up Social Media Content Like Its Dessert

microsoft-spindex-260Microsoft might be late to the game, but they are pushing the envelope to punch through the throngs of other aggregator services out there as they stomp on the gas coming out of the apex of the next turn in social media.

Microsoft has recently announced the release of Spindex, which is aimed at bringing together varied strands into one big loom that will recreate and redefine a users online experience. The intention is to take away the need to jump from site to site to site – users can get all their favorite feed content and site information in one central hub. Microsoft’s Fuse Labs is taking a stab at cornering the interest market on dynamic social media aggregation tools.

The Attributes of Powerful Content

We are in the business of promoting content. We, being you and I and everyone else trying to funnel traffic toward a website on the internet, invest differently than the suits on Wall Street. They place their confidence and their retirement (often their souls if they’re desperate) in numbers.

We place ours in words.

When you’re in the business of marketing on the web, content takes on a different form. When I was thinking about this, I started picturing scenes from the new release Avatar. The way they see the forest come alive at night, with the glowing plants and the strange creatures. The humans didn’t see it that way. That’s how content is for those of us who are immersed in it and all of its importance. We’re like the aliens witnessing their forest at night.

We see the bold, glowing beautiful letters that intertwine and weave together to form something beautiful.
William Morris is an exquisite poet, and he once said something that rings very true to many of us (though we may fail to heed the advice)
